All of the doctors in Mercer's Medical Centre have worked in hospital paediatrics and have a wealth of experience caring for children and advising parents in a primary care setting.
Medical cards
From 11th August 2023, the GP Visit card eligibility has expanded to include children ages 6 and 7 years, up to their 8th birthday. Patients whose existing cards have already expired will need to reapply. See this link.
Childhood Vaccinations
The standard childhood immunisations are available free of charge from Mercer's Medical Centre. Please note this does NOT include Varicella (chicken pox) vaccine. This is a course of two vaccines at a cost of €70 per vaccine. The medical card does not cover this cost.
