Mercer's Medical Centre

General Practice & Family Medicine

Welcome to Mercer’s Medical Centre

A modern dynamic GP doctors' practice in the heart of Dublin’s city centre, behind Stephen's Green Shopping Centre.

Providing the full range of general practice care to public and private patients, Mercer’s Medical Centre is a Primary Care Research Practice for the Irish College of General Practitioners and we participate in the training of student doctors and in the specialist training of future General Practitioners.

Opened in 1990 as a GP Practice by the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and located on the site of the old Mercer Hospital, we are committed in our efforts to provide healthcare for the sick and needy of Dublin, honouring the legacy of the founder of the Mercer Hospital, Mary Mercer.  Our premises have been recently renovated and the practice is the largest in Dublin city centre.

We are active advocates for positive change in our health services.

If you have recently returned from China or have any concerns about Coronavirus, please telephone the surgery on 01 402 2300 before attending in person.
