Practice Policies: Information for Patients

We are delighted to welcome you to our Practice. Our team is committed to providing safe, high-quality, and compassionate care to all our patients. Please take a moment to read the information below, which outlines how our practice works, and helps us deliver the best possible service to you. 

Appointments

We are an appointment-based practice. Our doors are open Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm (closed for lunch between 1-2pm, and closed on all Bank and Public Holidays). Please contact Reception to arrange an appointment or use one of our online forms, or book via the Pippo online booking system. Fees

Patients who do not hold a valid Medical Card/Doctor Visit Card registered to this practice are responsible for consultation fees and any additional charges. A full list of fees is available here. 

Patients with outstanding amounts on their charts may not be able to book further appointments until the debt is cleared. If you need to discuss a payment plan, please contact the Accounts Department. 

Prescriptions

Repeat prescriptions can be ordered online or via telephone. Requests are processed as follows: 
- Requests made before 12pm → processed the same day. 
- Requests made after 12pm → processed the next working day. 

Prescribing policy 

In line with best clinical practice and patient safety guidelines, we do not routinely prescribe sleeping tablets or benzodiazepines (for example: Valium, Diazepam, Xanax). 

Medical Cards

We can only accept Medical Card patients residing in Dublin 2, 8, or 12. Registration is only complete once processed by the HSE, which may take several weeks. Medical Cards are not backdated and must be kept up to date by the patient.

Respect and Safety

We believe in treating everyone with dignity and respect. Inappropriate or aggressive behaviour will not be tolerated.
