Dignity in the Workplace

Dignity in the Workplace

Our staff and our patients have the right to be treated with respect and dignity. Harassment and abuse, whether verbal, physical, in person, telephonically, or online, is not tolerated.

We all have the right to a safe and respectful environment in which we and our patients feel comfortable.

Our duty of care under the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005 means we will take reasonable steps to protect employees’ and patients' safety, health, and welfare, including preventing improper conduct or behaviour that could put people at risk.

Mercer's Medical Centre will take steps to limit access to and communication with the Centre should anyone behave in a manner that puts our people at risk. Depending on the nature of the incident/s, patients may be removed from our patient list.

Mercer's Medical Centre is part of Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland Coláiste Ríoga na Máinleá in Éirinn
