COVID information for RCSI students

The purpose of this page is to give you the necessary information about how COVID 19 testing and care will be managed by RCSI. The information and referral process provided here is intended for RCSI Students only. There is a separate page for all other patients; click here

Your COVID care will be coordinated by RCSI’s primary care facility, Mercer’s Medical Centre. There will be no charge for any aspect of COVID care.

This website is updated regularly but advice regarding Covid is changing on a daily basis. You should also cross-check any information by accessing the two Irish national health principal resources:

COVID-19 is a new disease, and we are still discovering many things about it. The information below may change based on the guidance of our national Public Health body.

Even if you have been fully vaccinated, it is important to remember that you can still transmit the virus to others (but remain asymptomatic yourself), and also that vaccination is not successful in at least 5% of people.

For these reasons, if you become symptomatic, then the same advice and restrictions that were previously in place still apply. If you are a close contact, see this page for information for RCSI students.

These guidelines are being updated regularly, so please continue to check back for new information.
